Day trip to Sanxia!

On Rich's last Saturday in Taipei we decided to take an afternoon trip to an area called Sanxia - know for its ornately carved Sanxia Quingshui Zushi (devine ancestors) Temple and it's old street.
We visited the temple first of all - it was undergoing some kind of restoration (apparently this has been going on for a while), but it was still pretty incredible.

Next it was time to check out the bustling old street and its beautiful architecture.

We also checked out the historical bridge in Sanxia, to be honest it could do with some TLC. But it looked great in the photos!

One more picture - there are so many scooters in Taipei - even cats have one!
